Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience supporting PC and Distribution Center technology to work within the Workplace Services team onsite at our Canadian Distribution Centers in Toronto. The IT Operations Support Specialist is responsible for the execution of day to day support & IMAC (Install-Move-Add-Change) activities for distribution center technologies which includes, but are not limited to, PCs/Laptops, Printers, Handheld RF Devices and PDAs.
The ideal candidate needs to be flexible around shift work based on project and business needs as we are looking for 2nd Shift and Weekend support after an initial training period. You may also need to work after regular hours and holidays as required depending on work volume, outages, and emergency situations.
Role Description:

Provide best in class customer service and organizational skills to support our Distribution Center Technology and end users

Provide fault isolation on RF, PC and Peripherals, Printer, Network, and other Distribution Center Installed Electronic and Computer Equipment

Need an excellent understanding of desktop software/hardware including printer hardware, and the subsequent implementation, support, and repair of onsite technology devices

Have an understanding of Windows and MAC desktop Operating Systems

Understand mobile technologies and their implementation in a corporate environment

Have a general understanding of desktop imaging technologies, networking protocols, topology, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, AirWatch & VPN

Provide first and second level PC support functions to end-users in Distribution Centers

Provide first and second level software support for Operating system, MS Office products, and all other company used departmental applications

Provide first and second level hardware support for Handheld RF Devices, PCs, Laptops, Printers, and PDAs

Carry out installation, configuration, staging, setup of computer and printer equipment, peripherals, and software following internal established standards and guidelines

Work effectively with 3rd level support teams on LAN/Network/Server issues, and with 3rd party vendors on hardware and software issues when required

Document new software and hardware configurations/standards in our knowledge base

Continue to enhance existing processes by bringing forward improvements, automation, and cost reduction opportunities

Participate in Desktop Services projects such as new software or hardware deployment

Have excellent verbal communication skills as well as ability to articulate thoughts and concepts to a variety of audiences in written correspondence and documentation

Be able to lift 50 pounds and have the ability to move desktop hardware as needed
Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience in end user support environment)

A minimum of 4 years end user support experience and Mac/Apple experience

Prior experience with desktop support, wireless networks, printers and mobile devices

Prior experience supporting conference rooms & AV equipment a plus

Experience with JIRA Ticket Management Tool a plus

Experience with Google G-Suite a plus
