Role Summary:

SCS is seeking an Analyst, Network Operations to join our team. You will be a vital contributor to the Network Operations team focused on supporting our Canada network and telecom infrastructure for our stores, data centers, and cloud environments. 

Key Qualifications:

      College degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required.

      Minimum of three years of network engineering experience - Information Systems and Information Security experience in a medium to large enterprise environment.

      Able to travel and support Toronto area offices, stores, and distribution centers. This position requires 20% travel per month

      Must be able to perform on-call duties once a month, this requires 24/7 availability

      Working knowledge of proper network protocol across multiple operating system environments, including Windows, AIX, AWS, Azure.

      Working experience with major networking platforms such as Cisco (CCNA a plus), Meraki, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

      Experienced with monitoring technologies such as Solarwinds Orion, New Relic, Nagios.

      Excellent problem solvers, able to troubleshoot issues independently.

      Able to be a self starter and work independently.

      Must be able to create enterprise level documentation with accompanying diagrams.

      Proficient writing JSON code, experience with Terraform a plus. 

Role Description:

      Responsible for monitoring, alerting, remediation, and reporting of level 1 and level 2 network issues for retail stores, data centers, and distribution centers.

      Supporting our end users with professional and courteous technical assistance, able to escalate issues based on established protocols.

      Implementing network upgrades and configuration changes based on change reviews and maintenance requirements.

      Respond to trouble tickets and resolve network outages and interruptions. Drive resolution of high-severity outages impacting IT infrastructure.

      Contribute to developing and maintaining framework policies and procedures (including: incident, problem, change, configuration, and capacity management) to ensure that standardized methods and best practices are utilized.

      Evaluate, design, analyze, and maintain all existing and new WAN/LAN network equipment including: routing, switching, firewalls, wireless access points, WLC, VPN, SDWAN, and applications.

      Maintain and support the Telecom infrastructure including PBX and hosted phone services, VoIP, voice mailboxes, and auto attendant platforms.

      Contribute to tool improvements and operational support processes and procedures.
